ANNOUNCEMENT:
New Appointee to MRCNS Council of Directors

The Midwifery Regulatory Council of Nova Scotia is pleased to announce the recent appointment of a new public representative joining our Council of Directors, effective immediately.

Jolinne Kearns has over a decade of progressive communications experience in several sectors including professional regulation, public health, tech and post-secondary education. With a MA in Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University, her areas of interest and expertise include stakeholder relations, strategic planning, corporate communications, and relationship building. She is a Franco-Ontarian originally from Northern Ontario, and now resides in Herring Cove, Nova Scotia.

Jolinne’s passion for the profession of midwifery comes from her experience working with one of the Council’s members during the birth of her second child. The quality of care made for a positive experience beyond words.
